The Ice-O-Matic MFI0500A is a compact, air-cooled flake ice machine ideal for healthcare, hospitality, and food retail environments where consistent flake ice is essential. Constructed with stainless steel inside and out, it ensures long-term durability and hygiene. This self-contained unit produces up to 540 lbs of flake ice per day, consuming 4.9 kWh per 100 lbs, and features Ice-O-Matic’s SystemSafe load monitoring system for added operational reliability.
Operating on 115V, single-phase power at 60 Hz, the machine draws 15.2 amps and discharges 2,900 BTU per hour. It includes a hardwire plug, a 3/8" water inlet, and a 3/4" drain, making installation straightforward. It functions efficiently in ambient temperatures from 50°F to 100°F, uses R404A refrigerant, and requires 12 gallons of water per day. With dimensions of 21" W x 24" D x 27" H, it fits comfortably on compatible storage bins and dispensers.
Certified by cULus, NSF, ISO 9001, and Energy Star, the MFI0500A meets strict standards for energy efficiency and food safety. It includes a smart LED cleaning alert indicator and supports a potable water pressure range of 20 to 120 psi. It is compatible with a wide range of Ice-O-Matic bins including B25, B40, B1000, and others, and supports filter models such as IFQ1, IOMQ1, IFI4C, and IFI8C.
